Player Agreement

2024-25 Season

We are delighted to extend to you a formal offer to play football with Old Esthameians (Old E’s). The club has a long a rich history of amateur football in East London and is committed to continue to grow and develop its involvement in grass roots football. The club currently competes in the Essex Alliance Football League and requires skilled football players to represent the club in League and Cup competitions.

Whilst we are a genuinely amateur club, we pride ourselves on a well organised and disciplined approach to management, coaching and playing.  By signing this agreement you are committing to train and play for the club and to abide by our code of conduct. We expect our players to conduct themselves in a mature sporting manner, arriving punctually for training sessions and matches and following the leadership of the club manager.  This agreement also commits you to the subscription model adopted by the club which is reviewed before the start of every season.

Duties

 

During the term of this agreement, you must faithfully, diligently, and to the best of your skill and ability, perform the following duties together with such additional duties and responsibilities as are reasonably required by the Club from time to time:

·play competitive football for the Club.

  • attend all team meetings, training sessions and instruction sessions as directed by the Club Manager.

  • comply with all reasonable directions of the Club Manager in relation to playing and training.  

  • play in all football matches in which you are directed to play unless you are ruled unfit or unavailable to play by the Club Manager.

  • non-availability must be notified to the manager at least 48 hours before kick-off.

  • comply with the Club’s code of conduct.

  • maintain the best possible physical condition so as to render the best service to the Club.

  • keep any playing and training kit and equipment issued by the Club in good condition.

Health and safety

 

At all times during the term of the agreement, you must exercise reasonable care and diligence in the performance of your duties and comply with all reasonable instructions, procedures and legislation to protect your own health and safety and the health and safety of others.

 

Policies and procedures

You are required to comply with the Club’s policies, procedures and practices as prescribed and amended from time to time.

The Club will make copies of its policies and procedures available to enable you to familiarise yourself with them and will provide copies to you on request.

 

Disciplinary action

The Club may take disciplinary action against you if you fail to comply with your obligations in this agreement.  This action may include suspension and, in certain circumstances, termination of this agreement.

 

Termination

The Club may terminate this agreement by notice in writing if you engage in proven serious misconduct or act in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of the Club breaches this agreement, is adverse to the best interests of the Club, affects the reputation or public image of the Club or causes harm to the Club.
